Countless homeowners, activists, and community leaders have gone to jail for standing up to the big banks that caused the housing collapse and the financial crisis, but not one banker has yet gone to jail for their crimes.
Instead, big bankers continue to make wild profits at our expense.
Just over a month ago President Obama pledged to stand up to big banks and make the economy work for regular Americans. But as of right now, the only answer President Obama’s advisers and state officials have offered is a sweetheart deal that allows Wall Street and the big banks to get away with their crimes.
We need a real investigation into the crimes and misdeeds of Wall Street big banks, and with a real investigation, we can finally hold Wall Street accountable. And we know that President Obama could take action today by launching a full investigation into Wall Street crimes.
